Station 3 Special Called for Commercial Fire PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 12 January 2010

Tonight at around 2220hrs, several of the Star Hose Company firefighters overheard neighboring Tioga County 911 dispatching Department 48 (Coudersport) to Bruzzi’s Cleaners on Main Street for a building fire. Just moments later, the first arriving Chiefs reported smoke showing from the first floor and people trapped on the second floor of the "taxpayer" style commercial building. The Chief immediately requested a second alarm and special called Port Allegany for a full company response.

Engine 32 (Capt. A. Johnson) responded immediately with 5 firefighters, followed closely by Engine 33 (Lt. L. Johnson) and Rescue 38 (Capt. M. Johnson) with an additional 10 firefighters. While en route, Coudersport Command reported a small fire and requested all units stand by at their current locations, with Roulette units to stand by at Station 48. With the new assignments, Engine 32 was requested to stand by at Roulette’s Fire Station and Engine 33 and Rescue 38 were returned to quarters. Engine 32 stood by in Roulette for about an hour.

Units on Scene: Engine 32
Command: Captain 340 (A. Johnson)
